First I had to take a picture in the bathroom for Steve. There are little baby seats in the corner for you to sit your child in while you urinate (Western toilets, not the Japanese trench). I love the sign that tells you what not to do. You will not turn your back on your baby (like there's room in there to turn at all). Some say, you will not let your baby jump out of the seat. Finally, don't forget to take your baby with you when you leave. Ok, so this sign actually has English, and I guess it's really telling you to close the seat, but when I was doing my own interpreting with other signs, I'm pretty sure they said don't forget to take your baby!

I turned off the flash, so other women wouldn't think I was totally weird taking photos in the john.

Today's refreshment from the vending machine was Coke Zero for me. That's actually an aluminum bottle.

And coffee for Steve:

The train out of Tokyo passed buildings and buildings and buildings for about thirty or so minutes. It is a mind-boggling huge city.

We finally got to a little more residential area.

Then we began getting into the countryside.

Then some rice paddies. I saw a few people out working in them, but not many. It's very cold out.

Scott, here's one of the tennis courts I emailed you about. You can see all the lights on top the building. They seem to be fairly popular.

After we arrived in Mito, we ate dinner, then we watched a little Sumo Wrestling on TV before calling it a night.
